The short version: we collect what we need to run PupFriendly, we never sell your data, and you can delete it anytime.
1. Who we are
[BUSINESS NAME] (ABN [ABN]) runs PupFriendly and handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
Account details (name, email). Dog profile (name, breed, photo) if you add one. Reviews, photos, saved places and lists. Shop orders (name, delivery address and phone). Business details for business accounts. Waitlist and newsletter emails. Device and usage information, and cookies. Your location only while you use “Near me”; we don’t store it.
3. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
4. How we use it
To run your account, show your reviews and lists, send booking and order emails, verify business claims, prevent spam and fake reviews, improve the site, and, if you agree, send newsletters.
5. Who we share it with
Service providers that help run PupFriendly: hosting and database, Stripe (payments), our print and shipping partner (shop orders), our email provider, map providers, and Google (analytics and ads, once enabled). If you request a booking, we pass your details to that venue. We don’t sell your personal information.
6. Overseas storage
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the EU. We choose providers with appropriate privacy protections.
7. Emails and marketing
We only send marketing emails if you opt in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it within five working days. Account and order emails are sent regardless.
8. Cookies and ads
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, plus analytics and advertising cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime in Cookie settings.
9. Your choices
You can see, correct, download or delete your information in Settings, or by emailing privacy@pupfriendly.com.au. Deleting your account removes your profile; reviews can be deleted or kept anonymously.
10. Security and retention
We protect your information with encryption and access controls, and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
11. Complaints
Contact privacy@pupfriendly.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
