Finding places
What counts as dog-friendly on PupFriendly?
A place makes the guide when it actively welcomes dogs — for example dogs allowed inside or in an outdoor area, water bowls, dog menus, off-leash areas, or pet-friendly rooms. Each listing shows its specific dog policy so you know what to expect.
How do I filter by what my dog needs?
Use the Filters button on any search page. You can narrow by dog features such as dogs inside, outdoor seating, water, fenced and off-leash, and by type of place.
How does the map work?
Switch to the map from the Map button. Tap a pin for a quick preview. By default the list follows the part of the map you’re looking at; untick “Search as I move the map” if you’d rather tap “Search this area” yourself.
Can I find places near me?
Yes — choose “Near me” on a search page and allow location when your browser asks. We only use your location on that page and never store it.
Which cities are covered?
Sydney and Melbourne are live now. Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra are coming soon — you can join the waitlist on each city’s page.
Accuracy and reporting
A place isn’t dog-friendly any more, or the details are wrong. What do I do?
Use “Report an issue” on the listing, or email hello@pupfriendly.com.au. We review every report. Dog policies change, so it’s always worth checking with the venue before you go.
How do you check dog policies?
Listings come from venues, members and public sources. Each listing shows when it was last checked.
Can I suggest a place we’re missing?
Absolutely. Email hello@pupfriendly.com.au with the name and suburb, or if you own the place, use “List your business”.
Your account
How do I sign in?
We email you a short code — no password to remember. Choose Sign in from the menu, enter your email, then type the code.
What can I do with an account?
Save places, build shareable lists like “Our Sunday walk”, and write reviews and add photos of places you’ve visited.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your account page, or email privacy@pupfriendly.com.au and we’ll remove it.
For businesses
How much does it cost to list my business?
Nothing. Listing, claiming and managing your business is free. You only pay if you choose a featured spot or advertising.
How do I add or claim my business?
Choose “List your business” from the menu, search for your business to claim it, or add it if it isn’t there. New businesses are reviewed before they appear.
Can I advertise or be featured?
Yes. Featured spots and advertising are always labelled as sponsored. Email hello@pupfriendly.com.au with “Advertising” in the subject and we’ll send options.
Shop
When will the PupFriendly shop open?
Soon. Add your email on the shop page and we’ll let you know the moment products are ready.
What if something arrives faulty?
Contact us within 30 days and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
